Ericeira, uma tarde ao sol

A Ericeira é uma vila turística situada a 35 km a noroeste do centro de Lisboa, a 18 km de Sintra e a 8 km de Mafra.

O episódio da fuga de D. Manuel II para o exílio, da Praia dos Pescadores, na Ericeira, tornou-se num marco da história da vila no último século. Eram cerca das 15 horas do dia 5 de Outubro de 1910 quando D. Manuel II, então com 20 anos, acompanhado da mãe, a rainha D. Amélia, e da avó, a Rainha D. Maria Pia, vindos de Mafra, surgiram de automóvel na vila para embarcarem no Iate D. Amélia, fugidos da revolução republicana que estalara na véspera em Lisboa


Ericeira is a tourist town located 35 miles northwest of downtown Lisbon, 18 km from Sintra and 8 km from Mafra.

The episode of the drain D. Manuel II into exile, from Praia dos Pescadores in Ericeira, became a milestone in the history of the town in the last century. It was about 15 hours on 5 October 1910 when D. Manuel II, then 20 years with his mother, Queen Amelia, and grandmother, the Queen Maria Pia, coming from Mafra, emerged from the car in the village to board the yacht D. Amelia, fleeing the Republican revolution to click on the day in Lisboa.



Fui recentemente à Ericeira passar um dia «fotográfico» com uns amigos.
Gostei de passear pelas ruas da Ericeira. Há pessoas a passear, a fazer desporto, sentados na praça a apanhar sol ou a dar de comer às pombas e gaivotas.


I have recently been to Ericeira spend a 'photographic' day with some friends.
I enjoyed strolling the streets of Ericeira. There are people hanging out, doing sport, sitting in the square to catch the sun or feeding the pigeons and seagulls.
